2008.10 WS AnimalServices Networking Group members are participating in the Parade of Lights in Grand Junction and Presents for Pets. Anyone wanting to donate items, please contact us.
2008.08 WS AnimalServices Networking Group members are participating in the Worlds Largest Yard Sale out at the fairgrounds put on by Cumulus Saturday August23rd. Anyone wanting to donate items for that sale, please contact us.
2008.06 Our June meeting will be our final prep for the Animal Expo, which occurs on June 22, 2008 10 a.m-6 p.m at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.

2008.05 At our May WSASNG meeting a local marketing specialist will join us to give insights into effective marketing techniques. Join us for our meeting, May 12th, 6pm.
2008.04.05 WSASNG members attended the Grand Junction Sentinel's Womens EXPO, where we answered questions about our services and the upcoming Animal Expo.
2008.04 At our April meeting, Dr. Robert Bessert, DVM from the Desert Spring Veterinary Service, spoke about zoonotic diseases (a zoonosis is any infectious disease that is able to be transmitted from animals, both wild and domestic, to humans or from humans to animals).
2008.03 At our March meeting, Karen Nelson from the VA hospital in Grand Junction was our guest speaker. She detailed the Pets for Vets program - a national program that provides funding for Veterans who would like to adopt a pet.
2008.02 An exciting February meeting led to the announcement of our upcoming Animal Expo. We began efforts to recruit sponsors and vendors and partnered with Midnight Sun Events to bring you this exciting event.
2008.01 Our January meeting was full of excitement with planning for the current year. The meeting highlight was the announcement of a 2009 Calendar Contest. Entrants are invited submit photos of their animals for placement in WSASNG's 2009 Calendar which will retail in Western Slope animal businesses. Proceeds will go to benefit regional shelters. Submission are due by September 1, 2008. Visit the above link for an entrance form.
2007.12 In December, WSASNG members rode atop our float for Fruita Christmas Parade. Despite stormy weather, the 6 dogs, 2 miniature horses, 10 clientele and friends riding the float had a wonderful time.
2007.11 Our November meeting hightlight was our Presents for Pets drive. As part of the National program, we collected items for pets and donated them to the Roice Hurst Animal Shelter (Roice-Hurst Humane Society is a private, non-profit, no-kill animal shelter). Our drive resulted in over $300 in products.
2007.10 In October, we gathered for our first meeting WSASNG meeting.
